Ian Stokes designs and builds his own synthesisers upon which he composes pieces vaguely reminiscient of the soundtracks of 1950's science fiction classics. The twist however, is that these pieces sound completely fresh and mondern, being informed by all of the theoritcal, practical and commercial advances that have been made in what is "acceptable as music".
